Edappadi K Palaniswami slams DMK for showing double standards in Sterlite issue

Palaniswami said the drama enacted now by Stalin and Kanimozhi would not bear fruit for DMK in this election.

Chennai: Chief Minister, Edappadi K Palaniswami, who also addressed the election rally, slammed the DMK for its ‘double standards’ on the Sterlite issue.

Accusing the then Industries minister of Tamil Nadu M.K Stalin for allotting 243 acres of land to Sterlite for its expansion plan, Palaniswami said that Stalin too stated in his speech at the state assembly on May 3,2010 that Sterlite was investing Rs 1,500 crore for its expansion project.

“The then DMK government’s affidavit in favour of the company at the Supreme court resulted in the court approving the functioning of the plant,” said Palaniswami, adding, the drama enacted now by Stalin and Kanimozhi would not bear fruit for DMK in this election. He also urged the people to vote for AIADMK-BJP alliance to enable a strong and stable government led by Modiji at the Centre.
