SM Krishna in new avatar to campaign for BJP

Former CM will address a news conference in Nanjangud.

Mysuru: Former chief minister S.M. Krishna, in his new avatar as a BJP leader, will be campaigning for the party candidate in Gundlupet, K.R. Niranjankumar on Monday. It will be his first political programme after he quit the Congress to join the saffron party a couple of weeks ago.

According to information available, the former CM will address a news conference in Nanjangud, which is also going to polls on April 9, and then proceed to Gundlupet, apparently to woo Vokkaliga voters. He will be accompanied by Union ministers Ananth Kumar, D.V. Sadananda Gowda, state BJP chief B.S. Yeddyurappa and Opposition leader in the Legislative Council K.S. Eshwarappa. On Tuesday, Mr Krishna is likely to campaign for Nanjangud BJP candidate V. Srinivasprasad.
