AP Cabinet reshuffled: Governor swears in 11 new ministers

The strength of the Cabinet has reached the cap of 26.

Vijayawada: Eleven new cabinet ministers were sworn in by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan on Sunday morning, including the Chief Minister’s son Nara Lokesh. The swearing-in ceremony took place near the Velaga-pudi secretariat.

The new ministers are Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao, Nara Lokesh, Pitani Satya-narayana, Nakka Anand-babu, Somireddy Chandra-mohan Reddy, K.S. Jawahar, and N. Amarnath Reddy

Four MLAs who defected from the YSRC were rewarded with Cabinet posts: are Sujaya Krishna Ranga Rao, Amaranath Reddy, Adinarayana Reddy and Akhila Priya. The strength of the Cabinet has reached the cap of 26.

Of the 26 Cabinet ministers, eight are from the BC community and two from SC. There were no minorities or tribals in the Cabinet. Portfolios were not annuonced immediately.
