Jagan wants state hospitals to be on par with corporate ones

The CM said government healthcare should be comparable to corporate hospitals in terms of infrastructure, maintenance, medicare

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed officials to offer services in government hospitals on par with corporate institutions.

Reviewing the public health Nadu-Nedu works at his camp office in Tadepalli on Tuesday, he said if there are any issues related to land acquisition, they should be brought to his attention immediately.

The CM said government healthcare should be comparable to corporate hospitals in terms of infrastructure, maintenance, cleanliness and standards of medicare. He asked officials to prepare standard operating procedures for providing best treatment to the poor in government hospitals. He emphasised on maintaining proper sanitation and cleanliness at the state hospitals, right from changing bedsheets to the food being served.

With regard to hospital infrastructure and staff, Jagan Mohan Reddy instructed officials to recruit the staff needed for maintaining the equipment in a proper way. He wanted authorities to bring in experienced professionals in hospital management for efficient operation of health institutions from village clinics to teaching hospitals.
