Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K Palaniswami launches Amma android app
Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, on Friday, launched Amma android application to help the public to access land records from their smartphones, at an event, here. The mobile app will help access revenue records like patta, chitta and A-register extract. The app would also help the public to identify private and public land.
The Chief Minister also had extended the number of certificates issued at government e-seva centres. In addition to 5 certificates, 15 more certificates such as agricultural income, certificates for small/marginal farmers, inter-caste marriage, unemployment, family migration, certificates for loss of school records due to disaster, no male child, unmarried, legal heir, residence, license under the Pawn Broker Act, license for moneylender, and OBC certificate.
According to the government press release, the applicants would get acknowledgement receipts from the e-seva centres and the details would be sent to their mobile phones. Applicants can know the status of the applications by sending SMS to 155250 or log in with the application number in department website. “When the certificates are ready, the applicants will be notified through SMS and applicant can download or reach out to e-seva centres to get the certificates,” the release added.
Palaniswami also inaugurated newly constructed 9 multi-purpose disaster management centres at Ramanathapuram, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Tiruvarur, and Tanjore districts at a cost of Rs. 24.68 crore.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated office of the joint chief engineer of pollution control board in Vellore at Rs 69 lakh that had been announced in the 2014-15 budget. The new office will monitor the environmental affairs of Vellore, Vaniyambadi, Villupuram, Dharmapuri, Hosur and Tiruvannamalai.
He also inaugurated various bridges and buildings constructed by agriculture, BC, MBC and minorities and rural development and panchayat raj departments at various parts of the state collectively at a cost of Rs 106 crore. This includes Rs.66.61 crore worth of various facilities at various agricultural universities.
