Budget ignores AP, I will resign, says Rayapati

He predicted that BJP will wash away in the anger of public of AP state like Congress was washed away during year 2014 elections.

GUNTUR: Senior MP of Narasaraopeta Rayapati Sambasiva Rao threatened to resign his MP post expressing anguish over the poor allocation of funds by the BJP led government in the Union Budget. He interacted with the media during a private programme in Guntur on Friday. He alleged that BJP is a puppet in the hands of RSS and is acting according to the directions of the Sangh Parivar. He stated that TD will organise a meeting at Amaravati on February 4 to discuss the future course of action and he will submit his resignation to if TD national president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu gives him permission.

Mr Rao said that all TD MPs will express their opinions during the meeting and stated that Mr Naidu will have to decide the future course of action. He lamented that the public had lots of hope about sanctioning of funds and fulfilling of promises of AP bifurcation of Polavaram project, new railway zone and railway projects but their hopes shattered with the BJP led union government's budget. He said that AP State facing financial difficulties due to Rs 16,000 crores deficit but the BJP government did not try to help AP in this budget. He recalled that the then Congress government used to respect and honor proposals of MPs and lamented that the BJP did not caring TD MPs and neglecting them. He said the MPs used to carry their works during Congress led government irrespective of political parties but the things changed in the BJP government. He predicted that BJP will wash away in the anger of public of AP state like Congress was washed away during year 2014 elections.
