Yatnal Takes Strong Stand on BJP Issues During Danamma Devi Celebration

VIJAYAPURA: Senior BJP MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal, addressing a gathering during the Danamma Devi annual celebration in Vijayapura on Friday night, declared that he cannot be silenced or blackmailed. He conveyed his dissatisfaction with certain occurrences within the party and simultaneously announced his intention to oppose the Congress in the state. He went on to comment on the unique use of the term 'Nikatapoorva' (immediate past) introduced along with Yediyurappa's name, questioning the necessity of such a change from the traditional 'former Chief Minister.' Yatnal questioned the discomfort associated with the use of the term 'former.' Highlighting his perspective on appointments, Yatnal remarked, "All posts are needed for their people. If anything is left, it can be given to their cats at home, making them general secretaries and deputy secretaries." In a bold assertion of his resilience, Yatnal claimed to have faced attempts at blackmail but remained unfazed. "I made it clear that I have their secrets. Having already spoken about DK Shivakumar, we are now preparing to take another case against him," he added. Yatnal's comments at the event underscored his unwavering stance and his vocal opinions on the political dynamics within the party.
