DK Shivakumar says no chance of hung Assembly
Hyderabad: Karnataka minister D.K. Shivakumar said the People’s Front led by the Congress would form government in Telangana state and there would be no question of a hung Assembly.
He was reacting to former MP Lagadapati Rajagopal’s predictions while speaking to mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday.
He said Congress president Rahul Gandhi and TD supremo and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu would decide the Chief Ministerial candidate after the elections as well as the roles of the allies in government.
Former Union minister Jitin Prasada said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s family was ruling the state.
He asked why VAT was not removed on petrol and diesel in the state. He said once the Congress came to power, the price of fuel would be reduced.
He alleged that the TRS had colluded with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Modi bada bhai KCR chota bhai,” he said.
Tamil Nadu PCC president Subburaman Thirunavukkarasar and Karnataka PCC working president Eshwar Khandre also said the People’s Front would come to power.
Meanwhile, former MLA Kaveti Sammayya who quit the TRS joined the Congress in the presence of AICC general secretary and TS Congress affairs incharge R.C. Khuntia on Saturday.
