Basanagouda Patil Yatnal at it again, slams BJP leaders

Patil claimed that he had never committed any mistake and would raise his voice only to safeguard the interests of the party.

Hubballi: Lashing out at his own party leaders including Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi for not ensuring the victory of party legislators in Sangli and Kolhapur districts of Maharashtra despite taking part in the campaign during the Assembly elections, senior BJP leader and Vijayapura MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal expressed displeasure over the fact that he was not invited for the election campaign in the neighbouring state.

Justifying his earlier statements criticizing the party for the delay in release of Central funds for flood victims, he claimed that he had never committed any mistake and would raise his voice only to safeguard the interests of the party.

Stating that the BJP leaders should not talk lightly about the disqualified legislators, he said that the party has come to power due to their sacrifice of tendering their resignations.

“I used to go for election campaigns in Maharashtra. But, party leaders did not invite me this time. Party candidates have suffered defeat despite senior leaders campaigning in the neighbouring state,” he said.

Criticising BJP leaders of Vijayapura and Bagalkot districts, he said, “These leaders are talking of returning to their hometowns only after getting me expelled from the party”. He added that he was elected as MLC directly by the people though the BJP had earlier expelled him from the party and any such action against him this time will not work.
