Modi's assurance has come true, says Tamilisai citing WB ranking
Chennai: BJP state president Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assurance of making India a favourable destination for global investors has come true. This, she indicated, was certified by the World Bank rating of ‘ease of doing business’ index.
Hailing India jumping 30 places in the World Bank’s “ease of doing business” ranking, she said the poll assurance made in 2014 by Modi has been implemented.
“I will make India a (favourable) destination for foreign investors… (this) 2014 assurance of Mr Modi has come true,” Dr Tamilisai tweeted posting photos of the PM and BJP national president Amit Shah.
In another tweet, she said, “World Bank certifies”. On Tuesday, WB released the Doing Business (DB) Report, 2018 which ranked India at 100th among 190 countries. India has leapt 30 ranks over its rank of 130 in the Doing Business Report 2017. The credit for this significant improvement is attributed to the mantra of “Reform, Perform, Transform” given by Prime Minister. India is the only country in South Asia and Brics economies to feature among most improved economies of the DB Report this year.
