Education of minorities priority for KCR: Mahmood Ali

Distributed proceeding copies of Rs 3 crores sanctioned for the development of masjids at Lakkora village in Balkonda Assembly constituency

NIZAMABAD: Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was giving the utmost importance to the education of Muslim children. He said that the previous government used minorities as a vote bank, but the BRS government was giving priority to them in developmental activities and welfare schemes.

The minister, along with R&B minister V. Prashanth Reddy, distributed proceeding copies of Rs 3 crores sanctioned for the development of masjids at Lakkora village in Velpur mandal in Balkonda Assembly constituency on Sunday.

Mahmood Ali, who also distributed sewing machines to minority women, said that the Chief Minister had been recognised as a tall secular leader in the country.

He called upon minorities to support the leadership of Prashanth Reddy in the coming Assembly elections.

BRS Rajya Sabha member K.R. Suresh Reddy, health and family welfare corporation chairman Madhusekhar, minority finance corporation chairman Imtiyaz and others were present.
