Reopen places of worship: Ali Shabbir

“Government employees have been praying there for several decades,” he said.

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir has vehemently objected to the closure of religious places located inside the Secretariat premises since Sunday.

In a statement on Tuesday, Shabbir, who is also former leader of opposition in the Legis-lative Council, blamed Chief Minister K. Chan-drasekhar Rao for denial of access to the two mosques and several temples in the Secreta-riat premises. “Government employees have been praying there for several decades,” he said.
