Etala Rajender was right, says Captain Laxmikanth Rao
Karimnagar: Captain Laxmikanth Rao, a close associate of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, supported the comments made by health minister Etala Rajender at a recent meeting that he did not owe his post to anyone.
Speaking to mediapersons at Singapuram of Huzurabad mandal, Capt. Laxmikant Rao, a TRS Rajya Sabha member, said that Mr Rajender was a minister right from the beginning of the first Telangana government. Mr Rajender had played a key role during the Telangana movement and was one of its important leaders.
“There is nothing wrong in the comments made by Mr Rajender as he strove hard for achieving statehood for Telangana. Whatever he said was correct. Whoever bore the burden of the TRS flag are its owners.” Capt. Rao said.
“Etala was there along with us from the beginning and faced several hardships to achieve statehood. Nobody can deny it,” he said.
On other issues, the TRS MP condemned the comments made by Congress MP A. Revanth Reddy against TS Genco and Transco chairman and managing director D. Prabhakar Rao.
Capt. Laxmikanth Rao alleged that Mr Revanth Reddy is talking without any awareness of the issues. "He is not able to tolerate seeing Telangana state which is glowing with 24-hour uninterrupted power supply," he said.
“Being in a respectable position as an MP, it is not good on the part of Revanth Reddy to criticise the Prabhakar Reddy who is rendering service to provide 24-hour power to the state. It is a shame on Revanth Reddy to make comments that Prabhakar Rao should be shot to death,” he said.
