Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday said that just by passing the revised SC/ST Act the issue would not be resolved. He accused the government of taking only reactionary steps to improve its political TRP.
“The current government has not done its homework. The bill may be passed here but the issue will not be resolved until judicial capacity is strengthened,” he said in the Parliament. He said that without proper infrastructure, the bill will serve no purpose whatsoever and will only congest the lower judiciary.
He said that allotting more money to establish new courts should be sanctioned instead of burdening the current infrastructure further.
