42 villagers join TD in Nandyal

According to the directives of AICC, Mr Abdul Khadar is chosen as Nandyal candidate, said Mr Raghu Veera.

Vijayawada: Villagers of Nandyal constituency from different parties have joined the TD in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. According to state TD central party office, 40 members from Sirivella mandal of different parties met the CM in his Vijayawada camp office on Tuesday.

According to a press release, leaders Maheswar Reddy, Eswar Reddy, Vardhan Reddy and 40 others belonging to Deepa-gunta village of Dosapadu mandal of Nandyal constituency joined the TD.

It mentioned that they had assured the Chief Minister of ensuring the Nandyal TD candidate’s victory in the bypolls and had joined the TD due to the development being done by the party in Nandyal.

Meanwhile, the Congress party has announced its candidate contesting for Nandyal by-polls. According to APCC president N. Raghuveera Reddy, Mr G. Abdul Khadar has been selected as Nandyal Congress candidate on the recommendations of Kurnool district Congress committee.

While addressing a press conference on Tuesday, he said the ruling and opposition parties in the state had compromised with the Union Government for their political and personal benefits and had utterly failed in protecting the state’s interests. Right from Special Category Status to development of the backward classes, the state government had compromised, he said.

According to the directives of AICC, Mr Abdul Khadar is chosen as Nandyal candidate, said Mr Raghu Veera. He appealed to the Nandyal public to support the Congress for Mr Abdul Khadar’s victory. He also appealed the Congress cadre to support and put in their level best.

Mr Abdul Khadar said this election is like a referendum and this is a competition between the rich and the disciplined, and appealed to the Nandyal public to support him.
