Telangana Congress incharge RC Khuntia miffed over Ghulam Nabi Azad posts
Hyderabad: AICC secretary and Telangana State Congress incharge R.C. Khuntia on Friday told party leaders that he felt insulted over some Congress leaders putting up social media posts welcoming the app-ointment of party general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad as TPCC incharge. This followed reports in the media regarding Mr Azad’s appointment.
Mr Khuntia was speaking to a few party leaders and said: “I am incharge of TPCC affairs. How are some leaders posting in social media welcoming Azad, who has not yet been appointed by the high command. I was insulted.”
Mr Khuntia asked why disciplinary action should not be taken against those leaders.
“I do not want continue as incharge of TPCC affairs. I will obey whatever decision the high command takes. You can post (messages welcoming Mr Azad) after the official announcement by the high command,” he said.
When this newspaper asked Mr Khuntia about his objections, he replied: “I do not want to say anything, you ask TPCC leaders.”
Earlier, Mr Khuntia participated in a meeting at at Gandhi Bhavan to discuss the fourth phase of the bus yatra.
