Modi to address public in coastal Karnataka districts tomorrow
Mangaluru: Coastal districts in Karnataka are gearing up for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally, which will be held at Kolandu Maidan in Mulki on May 3.
BJP is making all arrangements for the program to be held in Kolnadu village to make it a big success. The venue is spread over 70 acres and borders Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.
According to Mangaluru Vibhag Prabhari Uday Kumar Shetty, the event will cover eight assembly constituencies in Dakshina Kannada district and five in the Udupi district.
Approximately 30,000 workers each from Mulki-Moodabidre, Mangaluru North, Mangaluru South, Kapu, and Udupi constituencies, and 20,000 workers from the remaining constituencies are expected to participate.
All preparations at the venue are set to be completed by Tuesday afternoon, with the entire area handed over to security personnel. Dakshina Kannada district president Sudarshan Moodabidri urged party workers and the public to reach the venue by 9 am, as public movement will be restricted during Prime Minister Modi's arrival.
"The Prime Minister is known to be fond of coastal delicacies, and preparations are underway to serve him various dishes, including Uppittu Avalakki, Moode, and Neer Dosa," Sudarshan said.
The Prime Minister will arrive at Mangaluru International Airport directly from Delhi and will proceed to the rally venue by helicopter from Bajpe.
Helipads have been set next to NMPA at Panambur, NITK at Surathkal, and the meeting venue for the landing of the helicopters.
"Prime Minister Modi's rallies have created a huge buzz in the state and every event has been a grand success. Wednesday's rally in Mulki would further strengthen the BJP's unprecedented victory in the region," he added.
