Bandi: Shops shut during Hindu fests, not Ramzan

WARANGAL: Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday alleged the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of religious disparity between different groups in the society. “During the Hindu festivals, the BRS government will shut down all the shops but will permit to open the shops round the clock for other festivals, why drunk and drive tests are not conducted in the old city of Hyderabad, why is the disparity? What happened to all the rules,” questioned Bandi.

He came down heavily on the BRS government and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao while speaking at the booth Sammelan meeting held here in Mulugu district on Sunday.

Alleging favouritism towards Muslim festivals, Bandi said, “Do we need such kind of BRS parties to rule us who celebrate when Pakistan wins? Why there were no drunk and drive checks during Ramzan in the old city of Hyderabad? Why should Hindus sacrifice their lives for the construction of Ram Mandir in the birthplace of Lord Ram who is worshipped by Hindus that constitute 80 per cent of India’s population,” he asked.

Bandi lashed out at KCR at the meeting. “From where does K. Chandrashekar Rao get crores of rupees to be invested in foreign countries,” Bandi said, before launching a volley of attacks against KCR. He said the family was running a liquor trade with hundreds of crores.

Does KCR have the guts to bring an ordinance for providing 12 per cent of reservation to the Tribal people? The BRS government must release a white paper document regarding how many crores were invested and what kind of activities were taken up in its nine years of ruling for the development of the Tribal people, he demanded.

KCR is playing cheap politics to save his daughter and son at the cost of the lives of the people of Telangana state. West Bengal type of ruling is going on in the Telangana state. Arresting all the leaders who are questioning the state government by sending them into jail, the BRS government is trying to threaten them.

Bandi alleged that KCR caused the state to go into debt of over Rs 5 lakh crores. “If he is voted to power again, he would bring the state to another Rs 5 lakh crore debt,” he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is ready to develop the state in all sectors but KCR is not allowing him and is not fulfilling any single poll promise made by him to the people.

The BJP is going to contest alone in the coming Assembly elections and as per poll survey BJP is the only party, which is going to form the government in Telangana whereas the BRS and Congress will strike an alliance before elections, he alleged.

After coming to power, the BJP will reopen the rayon and sugar factories in the state and will provide free education and health along with releasing the job calendar every year. By implementing the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, farmers will get comprehensive insurance cover against failure of crop thus helping them in stabilising income of farmers, he said.

The state government must waive off farm loans immediately along with sanctioning of unemployment dole to the youth, he demanded.

Telangana BJP in-charge Sunil Bansal, MP Soyam Bapu Rao, former MPs Chada Suresh Reddy, Ravindra Naik, Ramesh Rathode, leaders Premendar Reddy, Bangaru Shruthi were present on the occasion.
