ADILABAD: CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka on Saturday expressed doubts that a Delhi-like liquor scam might have taken place in Telangana. Bhatti sought a comprehensive probe into Telangana’s liquor policy. He alleged that like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister K.

Chandrashekar Rao is also donating Telangana’s valuable resources to people close to him and criticised the CM for selling government lands in and around Hyderabad that would cause loss to future generations.

He said people had not fought for the formation of Telangana state to sell off its valuable resources, assets, and lands, and selling Telangana assets was nothing but selling the Telangana state.

Bhatti expressed doubts that a Delhi-like liquor scam might have taken place in Telangana since the ‘model liquor policy’ was prepared in Telangana and that led to the Delhi liquor scam.

Bhatti demanded the investigation agencies conduct a comprehensive investigation into Telangana’s liquor policy and would write a letter to this effect to the agencies.

Speaking to media persons on the 17th day of his padayatra, Bhatti said the officials concerned were mounting pressure on the sarpanches who were against the belt shops in their villages. A large number of people joined the Bhatti’s padayatra in the coal belt area of Mancherial.

He alleged that the government was announcing new schemes to lure the voters when elections were near after exploiting public wealth worth lakhs of crores.
Bhatti said it was not good to sell off government lands in and around Hyderabad in the name of collecting funds and added that governments should reserve lands and wealth for future generations, which was their responsibility. He said selling the government’s lands was a danger for future generations.

‘Congress government constructed houses under various schemes for the poor under the Housing Corporation, but the BRS government has closed the Housing Corporation and cheated the people in the name of 2BHK,’ he said, adding that it was unfortunate that the state government was planning to sell Housing Corporation lands.

He requested the President of India to immediately cancel the TSPSC’s board, which was responsible for the leakage of question papers and demanded the state government to give a four-year pending stipend for the unemployed youth, as the BRS government promised in the 2018 elections.

DCC president Surekha Kokkirala, and Bellampalli in charge Chilumula Shankar were present. Retired additional SP Pullala Ravi met the Bhatti and extended his solidarity to the padayatra.
