Steering of ‘car’ is with Prime Minister Narendra Modi: Rahul Gandhi
Hyderabad: Congress president Rahul Gandhi came down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, at a public meeting at Huzurnagar, the Assembly constituency of TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy who is contesting from Nalgonda LS seat.
Mr Gandhi alleged that Mr Modi is looting the country, and Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao is looting Telangana. He alleged that Mr Modi and Mr Rao are accomplices, and so voting for the TRS is like voting for the BJP.
Mr Gandhi said that the car is with Mr Rao but the steering is with Mr Modi, and that Mr Rao is working for the victory of Mr Modi.
He said these elections are not between the Congress and the TRS, and people should think whether the county needs Modi or Rahul. Mr Rao, he said, is thinking about only one family and doing injustice to the poor.
“Unemployed youth in the country are on the roads. In Modi’s rule thieves like Nirav Modi and others are travelling in costly cars. Mr Rao is living in lavish Pragathi Bhavan. Only the Congress listens to the heart beat of a poor man,” he said.
In the name of GST and demonetisation, Mr Modi has looted the people and that money was put into Anil Ambani’s pocket, Mr Gandhi said. After the Congress comes to power it will collect all the money looted from the people, he added.
