Kakinada: Jana Sena chief and cine actor Pawan Kalyan has given priority to the Kapu community in East Godavari allotting its members more tickets than other parties.

Telugu Desam gave tickets to five Kapu candidates while YSR Congress gave to eight. Jana Sena gave tickets to nine.

The Telugu Desam gave tickets to four from BCs, two Kshatriyas, three Kamma and one Reddy candidates. YSR Congress gave four tickets to BCs and three to Reddy community. Jana Sena gave three tickets to BCs, one to Kamma, one to Vysya and one to Kshatiriya community.

Pawan announced the Jana Sena's first ticket to Pithani Balakrishna from the BC community for the Mummidivaram constituency.

Meanwhile, there was a stiff competition among Kapus from different constituencies. Though the number of BCs is almost comparable to those from Kapus, the latter are presumed to be more dominating.

Jana Sena allotted tickets to BCs for Mummidivaram, Rajah-mundry and Anaparthi constituencies.

It is said that the party had given Anaparthi ticket to a BC candidate, Relangi Nageswara Rao. If Kapus and BCs work together, they can win the elections. But, it is said that the situation in the constituency is difficult with the presence of YSRC candidate K. Suryanarayana Reddy who is a doctor. He is popular and has been serving the people of surrounding villages.

The followers of Jana Sena candidate appeal to people that their candidate would be working for the people, particularly in the weaker sections including Kapus. They need not go to the candidate as he would be avilable to help them whenever they need.
