I am Baahubali of Andhra Pradesh, says Chandrababu Naidu

Mr Naidu alleged that Mr Modi had discriminated against AP and was resorting to lies.

Tirupati: TD supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu said he was Baahubali and likened Narendra Modi to Bijjala Devudu, an evil character and father of the betrayer Bhallaladeva, in the film Baahubali.

Addressing public meetings at Puthalapattu and Chittoor constituencies, he sought to liken YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to Bhallaladeva. This was in response to Mr Modi calling him Bhallaladeva. “If Narendra Modi utters the truth from his mouth his head will be broken into 100 pieces as he is cursed to spread lies always,” Mr Naidu said.

Mr Naidu alleged that Mr Modi had discriminated against AP and was resorting to lies. “Narendra Modi is betrayer who failed to fulfil the promises he made to the state. He didn’t accord special category status, didn’t give Metro Rail projects, Kadapa steel plant and many more benefits, which the state has to get rightfully from the Centre. This reveals his conspiracy against our state,” he alleged.

Calling him “U-turn PM” for denying the state benefits, Mr Naidu claimed that he was the right-turn CM. “Modi is jealous of the development achieved by me in united Andhra Pradesh. He was a junior to me in politics, but with luck became PM. The country had never thought that it would see a Prime Minister like him”, he said.

“Modi along with Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy are hatching a conspiracy against the state. They are even trying to finish me off, but I’m not scared of the trio and I will live for my state, until it is on a progressive line”, he added.

Alleging that both Modi and KCR were trying to stall the construction of Polavaram, which is the lifeblood of AP, Mr Naidu said, “Despite a financial crisis and the Centre withholding funds, we have completed 80 per cent of the work. I’m assuring you that by the end of the year, each and every corner of AP will get water from this project after merging all the rivers and canals”.
