Survey predicts 14 seats for Captain Vijayakanth's team

The survey managers have allowed a margin of error of +/- three per cent.

Chennai: According to the survey by Times Now-India TV-CVoter, the DMDK-PWA could get 14 seats from 8 per cent vote share. The PWA includes VCK, MDMK and the left parties. The survey managers have allowed a margin of error of +/- three per cent.

Interestingly, the AIADMK has gained over the four weeks of March while the DMK tripped. In the survey done earlier by the same agencies, it was seen that the AIADMK had a seat count of only 116 in March first week (improved to 130 now), whereas the DMK dropped to 70 seats from 101 In March first week. The survey suggests that the DMDK-PWA, which improved to 34 seats from 17 four weeks ago. It is not hard to guess that the Vijayakanth-led alliance gained at the cost of the DMK.

“The survey has thrown up expected results. Amma’s welfare schemes and development work have touched every section of the society. There is no anti-incumbency; actually, there is pro-incumbency”, said ‘Mafoi K Pandiarajan, a prominent AIADMK member. “This 39 per cent vote share, giving a low index of opposition unity (IOU), will translate to much more than the 130 seats predicted in this survey”, he insisted.
