Seats for Congress in DMK alliance will be decided in two days: EVKS Elangovan

Chennai: TNCC president E.V.K.S. Elangovan on Friday denied that there are problems in seat sharing talks with the DMK and said the seats for his party would be decided within two days.

“The number of seats as well as seat identification will be decided tomorrow or the day after”, he told reporters at Chennai airport, after his return from New Delhi. When asked if senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad will come to Chennai for seat sharing talks, Elangovan said it had not been decided.

When asked if the Congress will accept the Tamil Maanila Congress in the DMK alliance, he said he did not want to make any comments on the issue, but added “I do not consider the TMC as a political party”. Elangovan said he discussed the campaign strategy and scheduled of party leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in Delhi and added he was not able to meet Sonia Gandhi as she was in poll campaign in Assam.
