Former Karnataka CM Yeddyurappa meets president Amit Shah
Bengaluru: With the BJP central leadership yet to take a decision on appointing a new party state unit, party vice-president B.S. Yeddyurappa met president Amit Shah in Delhi on Friday.
Mr Yeddyurappa, an aspirant for the post, requested Mr Shah to decide on the post as early as possible. Sources close to him told DC that he was unhappy with recent developments after the party started projecting former minister C.T. Ravi for president’s post.
He reportedly told Mr Shah that there was confusion in the party over who would replace president Pralhad Joshi and if this situation continued, it would affect the morale of workers. He said he would abide by any decision taken by the party but an early decision was of utmost importance.
Speaking to reporters, he said, “Due to my programme in Delhi, my absence at the state executive meeting has created confusion. To avoid this, I returned from Delhi today itself to attend the meeting.”
