Bengaluru: BJP MLC Lehar Singh files case against Dinesh Gundurao
Bengaluru: Taking a legal route, BJP MLC Lehar Singh Siroya has filed a complaint against KPCC Working President Dinesh Gundurao at Sanjay Nagar Police Station on Wednesday, accusing him of fabricating a false document by forging his signature to show that he had paid crores to the BJP high command.
Based on the complaint, the police have registered a First Information Report against the Congress leader. Mr Singh contended that print and visual media were highlighting certain entries of receipts of disbursal of money accounting to more than Rs 390 crore, indicating initials of receipts and disbursals.
"Those who aired them and in the press, to name one, is Dinesh Gundurao, at the Vidhana Soudha on February 25. Those entries are not in my hand writing and the signature below the papers/sheets shown by them is not mine. It is obvious that he (Dinesh) has fabricated a false document by forging my signature in conspiracy with others.”
He called for an impartial investigation into the matter. The complainant said the ramifications were far reaching for his party and to his personal reputation. “The offenders are powerful and influential, who might indulge in thwarting an efficient investigation. I am marking this information to book the cases under Sec 465, 469 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code. It is obvious whatever is and being highlighted is a counter to what BJP leader B.S. Yeddyurappa is highlighting against Congress functionaries," the complainant said.
It may be mentioned here that, a mysterious excerpts of a diary appeared in social media on February 24, alleging large-scale payment to BJP national leaders, including Narendra Modi. The excerpts had also contained names of some former ministers including K.S. Eshwarappa, Murugesh Nirani and R. Ashok.
On February 25, Mr Gundurao, in a press conference in Bengaluru, released the contents of the diary to claim that even the State BJP leaders too had paid money to BJP central leaders.
Earlier the Congress leadership was rattled by explosive contents, reportedly belonging to MLC K. Govindaraju, regarding receipts of crores of rupees from several ministers in Siddaramaiah Government, which were allegedly paid to Congress central leaders, including AICC President Sonia Gandhi, Vice-President Rahul Gandhi and Treasurer Motilal Vohra.
