AICC spokesperson Khushboo finds Kerala insecure for women

Kozhikode: AICC spokesperson and actor Khushboo said that Kerala had become “criminals own country” under the nine-month rule of the LDF.  

Speaking at the protest meet organised by DCC in the wake of the sexual assault on an actor, here on Wednesday, Khushboo lamented that women could not walk on the roads even during the daytime in the state. “There are thousands of cases of attack on women registered throughout the state under the Pinarayi Vijayan regime.”

 

“The same situation persists in the country where exploiters have a field day under the BJP-ruled centre,” she alleged. Khushboo said that the situation should be changed as we were not living in the dark ages.

She lauded the bravery of the actor who overcame her trauma and resumed her job. “She should be appreciated for not hushing up the incident and reporting it to the police,” Kushboo stated.

Speaking on the occasion, RMP leader K.K Rema alleged that police were lenient towards the perpetrators in cases where women had been attacked. DCC President T. Sidique among others spoke.
