Jagan will face the fate of his grandfather Raja Reddy: Lokesh

The TD leader was speaking to media after visiting Gollakunta village of Jaggampeta mandal in East Godavari on Tuesday afternoon

KAKINADA: Former minister and Telugu Desam leader Nara Lokesh lashed out at Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy over deaths of TD leaders and emotionally burst out saying “Jagan will face the fate of his grandfather late Raja Reddy.”

Lokesh said the Constitution penned by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar does not prevail in AP. The unwritten constitution that prevails is that of Raja Reddy. The TD leader was speaking to media after visiting Gollakunta village of Jaggampeta mandal in East Godavari on Tuesday afternoon.

He had earlier consoled family members of TD leader Sabbella Srinivasa Reddy, who committed suicide by hanging from a tree on Monday in his fields.

The TD leader said the state government should be made accountable for every political death, including political murder of Srinivasa Reddy. In emotional charged voice, he asked the Chief Minister: “How many lives do you want to take. You will have to pay for such sins. Remember the manner in which your grandfather died and a similar fate will befall you”.

He accused Jagan Mohan Reddy of being jittery about losing panchayat elections. That is why ruling party activists are attacking TD leaders and even killing them. He warned YSRC leaders that they would have to pay a heavy price for their crimes. He pointed out that after YSRC came to power, 19 TD leaders have been killed and 1,350 injured.

Former MLA Jyothula Venkata Appa Rao (Nehru) and others were present at the press conference.
