Vijayawada: Jana Sena chief K. Pawan Kalyan appointed women leaders to 22 committees of the party on Thursday. He said that Jana Sena is giving top priority to women and working for the women empowerment. Already JS formed youth and students wing and now formed women wing naming it as Jana Sena Veera Mahila wing.
Mr Kalyan appointed Javvani Rekha belonging to Kurnool and working as an auditor as the chairperson of Jana Sena Veera Mahila wing. The JS leaders stated Ms Rekha belonging to BC community was working on the issues of women and further actively participating in politics.
This is the first list of appointment of leaders to various party posts by Jana Sena. Mr Kalan has chosen young and middle-aged women to JS women’s wing. 25-year-old Sindhuri Kavita, 28-year-old Sk Jarina, 30-year-old N. Priya Sowjanya and 47-year-old G. Srivani were appointed as vice chairpersons to the JS women wing. Mr Kalyan appointed women leaders as co-conveners to every parliamentary committee of JS and further appointed Ms Sujatha Panda to JS political affairs committee.
Further Mr Kalyan appointed women leaders to JS policy wing, JS parliamentary executive committees and parliamentary working committees.
