Bhatti: BRS Men Registering Lands Fast via Dharani Fearing Loss

HYDERABAD: Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka accused the BRS leaders of rapidly registering thousands of acres of assigned lands around Hyderabad in the names of their proxies through the Dharani portal.

This, he claims, is a manoeuvre as the BRS government expects to lose power after December 3. Bhatti cautioned the revenue department against facilitating such registrations, threatening severe consequences for officials complying with the directives of BRS leaders.

Speaking at a press conference in Gandhi Bhavan, Bhatti claimed that BRS leaders are plotting to acquire valuable lands worth lakhs of crores before their tenure concludes on December 3.

"I advice revenue officials not to follow the instructions of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, ministers K.T. Rama Rao, and T. Harish Rao to register assigned lands in the names of proxies for BRS leaders. If they do, they will face repercussions once the Congress assumes power after December 3," warned Bhatti.

He revealed that the BRS government is attempting to divert Rythu Bandhu funds to settle pending bills of contractors. Bhatti alleged that funds obtained from contractors during elections are now being used to favour them. He cautioned the finance department against deciding to clear contractor bills before December 3.

Bhatti lodged a complaint with the Election Commission, urging officials to avoid irregularities during the power transition. He asserted that a Congress government would investigate and take stringent action against officials found culpable.
