JS-TD Combine to Check Land Grabbing in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: Telugu Desam and Jana Sena have combined their forces to prevent land grabbing in Visakhapatnam, apart from exposing the large-scale corruption in Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC). The two parties organised a coordination meeting in the port city on Tuesday.

Top MLAs of TD Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, former minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, P.V.G.R. Naidu and Nimmala Rama Naidu attended the meeting. Rama Naidu is the observer from TD. Jana Sena representatives who attended the meeting were former MLA and Vizag Rural president Panchakarla Ramesh Babu, former minister Padala Aruna, Visakhapatnam Urban president Kona Tatha Rao, P. Ushka Kiran and Vijay Kumar.

Tatha Rao told this correspondent that the meeting discussed how to prevent looting of natural resources by the ruling YSRC and check infringement of democratic rights, among others. “Our aim is to free AP from YSRC. With this agenda, both the parties will be campaigning from constituency to village level,” Tata Rao said. The two parties will expose how the ruling party is exploiting people and land in the name of executive capital.

The JS leader said further strategies will be discussed after their president Pawan Kalyan returns from abroad and Chandrababu Naidu settles down.
