Bengaluru: A day after reportedly making a controversial statement that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was scared of him, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah asserted that he was misquoted on the issue. On Monday, at a function at Chikkaballapura, Mr Siddaramaiah had said that Prime Minister Modi was scared of him. When asked about this on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said that he was misquoted on the statement. “All I had said was that the Bharatiya Janata Party was scared of me,” he added.
When asked about Kannada actor Upendra floating his own political party, Mr Siddaramaiah said that anyone was free to float a political outfit.
