Muttireddy stirs hornet's nest over Jangaon BRS ticket

WARANGAL: The war for BRS ticket from Jangaon assembly constituency is continuing between sitting MLA Muttireddy Yadagiri Reddy and the MLC Palla Rajeswhar Reddy.

At a meeting in his camp office, Muthireddy drew comparisons with Ramayana and Mahabharata. He said he is not going to leave his people like Lord Rama, who left for a 14-year exile because of Kaikeyi. He is also not going to keep quiet like Bhishma and Pandavas during Draupadi Vastraharanam.

The sitting MLA maintained that he will be quiet when someone is trying to insult and take his place in Jangaon constituency. “I am committed to welfare of my people in the constituency, unlike Lord Sri Rama who went to forest for 14 years, disappointing his people,” he remarked.

Muthireddy alleged some leaders are doing group politics in Jangaon constituency and hatching conspiracies.

“There is only one group in Jangaon. It is the KCR group. Muttireddy is part of KCR. No one is going to tolerate if anyone wants to separate Muttireddy from KCR group,” he warned.

It may be recalled that on being denied tickets from Jangaon and Station Ghanpur, disappointed MLAs Muttireddy Yadagiri Reddy and Thatikonda Rajaiah, along with Rajeshwar Reddy and Kadiyam Srihari, had met party working president K.T. Rama Rao in Hyderabad. This followed speculations that the two MLAs will make way for others following assurance that they will be made chairmen of corporations.

However, Rajaiah took a U-turn, claiming that BRS will allot B-form to him for contesting from Station Ghanpur. At the time, Jangaon MLA Muttireddy had kept quiet. But he has burst out now at a meeting he held with his supporters at his camp office in Jangaon.
