Komatireddy demands 24 hours power supply to farmers

HYDERABAD: Congress party's star campaigner Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who exposed the BRS government's claim of providing 24-hour power by keeping the log books at power stations in the public domain, vented ire at the government for not supplying power for more than 12 to 13 hours for agriculture.

Flaying Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, who had asked people to choose between a government that gives 24 hours of power or one that gives two to three hours of power, he said, "Looks like power cuts are going to be the norm going ahead. I have been receiving calls from Nalgonda district complaining about power failure."

“The farmers expressed apprehensions that their fields would dry up. I request Rao to buy electricity and ensure supply of uninterrupted 24-hour power to the farmers, who opted for paddy on his power supply assurances,” the MP said
