Karimnagar: The ruling BRS leadership, after denying poll ticket to Vemulawada MLA Chennamneni Ramesh Babu and later appointing him as a chief advisor to the government on Agriculture, heaved a sighed a big relief.
However, the cold war still exists among the BRS leaders which came to the fore with the comments made by the MLA Ramesh Babu who attended the centenary celebrations of his father Chennamneni Rajeshwar Rao in Vemulawada on Thursday.
Speaking to the media, Ramesh Babu pointing out at Chalmeda Laxmi Narasimha Rao who was allotted party ticket and Dr Vikas Rao who joined the BJP on Wednesday alleged that some BRS leaders were thinking that they could do politics by setting up voluntary organisations and charity foundations. Politics is nothing but serving the people without expecting anything from them selflessly. People will remember such leaders forever and will keep those leaders in their heart like that of his father who served the people selflessly, he added.
Ramesh said that along with Ravi Narayana Reddy, his father Rajeshwar Rao carried out several movements and pada-yatras for irrigation projects.
Recognising his efforts, CM KCR took the decision of naming Malkapet reservoir constructed under Kaleshwaram Project package-9 on Rajeshwar Rao’s name, he said thanking the BRS chief.
