Jagananna Suraksha resolves 95.96 L applications in AP

VIJAYAWADA: The implementation of the Jagananna Suraksha programme has set a record with the resolution of 95.96 lakh applications received from 1.42 lakh families in 15,004 secretariats’ limits by July 31 in AP.

The state government launched the programme on July 1 with the aim of issuing 11 types of certificates from various departments free of charge to the people.

Accordingly, 2.68 lakh volunteers carried out a survey in 1.42 crore houses and issued 45.33 lakh integrated certificates, 41.20 lakh income certificates, 7,326 OBC certificates, 2,366 marriage certificates, 16,377 family member certificates, 1.40 lakh Adangal certificates, 2.70 lakh 1-B certificates.

Similarly, 6,511 Aarogyasri cards, 15,081 new rice cards, 89,102 services for changes in rice cards, 2.72 lakh services to link Aadhar cards, and 4,631 services related to Pattadar passbooks.

On July 18, 7.54 lakh, the highest number of applications for varied services, were resolved. Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema district got the highest number of applications 7,65,722 of which 7,62,655 were resolved, while Parvathipuram district got the lowest number of 1,27,474 applications, of which 1,22,300 were resolved.
