Complete ‘Shaadikhana’ in Jagtial, AIMIM tells government
Karimnagar: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Jagtial district president Mohammad Yousuf Nadeem on Saturday demanded that the state government take up construction of Shaadikhana in the town, which has remained pending since a decade.
Speaking to media after presenting a representation to additional collector Aruna Sree in this regard at the Collectorate, Yousuf Nadeem pointed out that state government has sanctioned community buildings for various castes after construction works of the Shaadikhana had started 10 years ago. The government has even completed some of the community buildings. But the Shaadikhana is yet to be constructed. Because of this, people of Muslim community are facing considerable hardships, he stated.
The AIMIM leader further said Urdu Ghar in the town is now in a dilapidated condition. The government must either restore the building or reconstruct the entire Urdu Ghar. Further, the main road from Theenkhani to Fort had been dug up for laying pipelines under Mission Bhagiratha. But officials have not rebuilt the road, which is making travel by this road very difficult.
Though AIMIM, along with locals, has brought these issues to notice of officials and public representatives concerned on a number of occasions, no steps have been initiated in this direction till date, he said.
AIMIM party councillors Rajiuddin, Sameeruddin, Azaad and Shanwaz were among those who presented a memorandum in this regard to the additional collector.
