Chennai: Health minister C. Vijayabaskar inaugurated automated blood group analyser installed in Amma Master Health centre at Omandurar Multi Super Speciality Hospital on Tuesday.
The analyser has been set up at the hospital at a cost of Rs 4 lakh and is efficient in analyzing the blood group of 12 people within 9 minutes. The Amma Master Health Check Up Center at Omandurar Multi Super Speciality Hospital has benefited more than 2,010 patients till date after it was set up in June this year.
Patients affected with high blood pressure, diabetes, blood related disorders, thyroid, cervical cancer, breast cancer and bladder stones have been screened at the center.
Health minister announced that more Amma Master Health Check Up Centres would be opened at government hospitals and medical colleges in Salem, Tiruchy, Madurai, Coimbatore, Thanjavur and Tirunelveli.
