Rahul Gandhi to attend VCK's conference
He said it was wrong on the part of the government to arrest those who voiced against the project.
Chennai: Aiming to bring the leaders of secular parties on a common platform, the VCK has proposed to organise a conference during the first week of September to “protect India from communal forces.”
Speaking to reporters in Madurai in the State on Saturday, VCK chief Thol Thirumavalavan said Congress president Rahul Gandhi would attend the conference.
On the Chennai-Salem Green expressway corridor he said it was wrong on the part of the government to arrest those who voiced against the project which aimed to displace people and farmers.
