VHR Meets Farmers Impacted By RRR

HYDERABAD: A brief ruckus was witnessed outside the jail in Bhuvanagiri, when Congress former MP V. Hanumantha Rao went to meet farmers impacted by the Regional Ring Road (RRR).

After meeting the farmers he likened the local MLA to gangster Nayeem. Hanumantha Rao took objection to the change in previous alignment of the road and said the change has affected farmers and demanded lifting of non-bailable cases against them.

Finding fault with the BRS government for mulling over giving BC Bandhu ahead of polls, the Congress leader asked, “Will anyone believe them? We are holding a BC Garjana shortly. We will stand by the farmers until they get justice and the alignment should be changed.”

Accusing Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao of doublespeak, Hanumantha Rao said, “While resorting to propaganda in other states as a pro-farmer government, here he is foisting false cases and sending them to jail.”
