Mahajan Sampark will be a positive exercise: Bandi

HYDERABAD: During the Mahajan Sampark Abhiyan, which begins on Thursday, the Bharatiya Janata Party will not criticise or berate the BRS government or any other political party. During the month-long programme, it will only focus on the development activities of the Narendra Modi government in the state, and in the country, party state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said on Wednesday.

He said the campaign will go on with a positive outlook and will comprise several programmes to inform people about the successes of the Modi government and aims to reach every doorstep in the state between June 1 and 30.

“For instance, the Modi government supplied 7.56 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses to Telangana state, 3.5 lakh homes were allotted to the state under the PM Awas Yojana schemes and 54 drinking water connections were given under the Jal Jeevan Mission,” he said.

“As part of the Gadapa Gadapaki BJP, our leaders and workers will visit every home in the state and provide information on the Modi government’s programmes and hand out pamphlets and stickers. There will also be local-level meetings where people will be informed about the centrally sponsored development programmes and schemes along with meetings with beneficiaries in all Assembly constituencies,” Sanjay Kumar said.

Addressing a press conference, Sanjay Kumar highlighted some of the events that the party has planned in its month-long campaign.

These include holding public meetings in all the 119 Assembly constituencies, he said, adding that the state party has requested the national leadership if it could also hold two or three large meetings at the Parliamentary constituency level that could be addressed by Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah or the party’s national president J.P. Nadda.

The campaign will see local, state, and visiting central leaders and ministers visiting development programmes implemented in the state by the Central government as part of its ‘Vikas Theerth’ plan. A significant part of the programme would be Assembly constituency level meetings of long-time party leaders and workers, those who had been with the party since the days of the Jan Sangh party.

“The idea is to listen to such seniors and take their suggestions on how to do better,” Sanjay said.

He also announced a phone number 9090902024, for receiving information on the Modi government’s programmes in the last nine years. People can also visit 9yearsofseva.bjp.org
