All Congmen working for Kusuma Shivalli’s victory: Satish Jarkiholi

Two or three people resigning will not affect the coalition government.

Bengaluru: Dismissing rumours that he was unhappy with Water Resource Minister D.K. Shivakumar who is in charge of the Kundgol Assembly by-election, Forest Minister Satish Jarkiholi said that all Congress leaders are working together for the success of the party candidate Kusuma Shivalli.

Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Mr Jarkiholi said that Mr Shivakumar was given charge of the constituency on the basis of his seniority. “We are not protesting the decision, it is happening only in the media. We have to win the by-election and we are all working together,” he said.

Answering a question on his brother and Gokak MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi, Mr Sathish said that he had been isolated now since no one backed him in his 'rebellion.' “He is a five time MLA and he is able to think on his own. Two or three people resigning will not affect the coalition government. They (BJP) have tried it a couple of times and failed as they did not get the requisite numbers. Now, Mr Ramesh has been isolated and no one is with him,”' Mr Sathish Jarkiholi added.
