Congress is party of molesters: M M Mani
Thiruvananthapuram: Electricity minister M. M. Mani on Sunday alleged that all Congressmen were ‘involved’ in sexually abusing women, but no Communist leaders were ‘convicted’ in such cases. Speaking to reporters at Kunchithanny in Idukki on Sunday, he said names of many leaders were included in the cases related to Saritha S. Nair. There was also allegations related to the death of Sunanda Pushkar, he said. "We know how they handled the case where a woman Radha was killed in a Congress office in Nilambur," he said.
"Lathika Subhash and Shobha Surendran were not there to stage protests, and only the CPM protested.” AICC leaders are also involved in sexual allegations. “Though I have many things to say, I am not saying more as things will get worse if I say. Have any of CPM leaders been involved in sex cases. No allegation have been levelled against them as we respect women."
He said he would not intervene to end the Pembilai Orumai strike as Aam Admi, UDF and the BJP were behind it. "It is sad that the women are continuing the strike even now," he said. Replying to him, KPCC president M. M. Hassan said in Thiruvananthapuram that CPM was the party which had expelled leaders for misbehaving with women. "Mani was levelling baseless allegations hiding this fact," Mr Hassan said.
