Thrissur: SNDP general secretary Vellappally Natesan has lashed out at KPCC president V M Sudheeran and CPM veteran V S Achuthanadan alleging that both leaders had betrayed the Ezhava Community in their attempt to woo the minority communities.
“If VS can prove corruption charges against me in micro finance of SNDP, I am ready to end my life. But if proved otherwise, is VS ready to tonsure his head and go to Kasi ?” Vellappally asked while speaking at a meeting of SNDP leaders at Chazhoor here on Saturday.
“VM should realize that Chief Minister Oommen Chandy is the high command of the Congress in Kerala. VM wanted five Congress leaders who faced allegations of corruption to keep away from contesting, but the CM stood his ground and made them contest and showed Sudheeran who was stronger,” he said.
Vellappally also said that Sudheeran had more assets than him, but the latter would not reveal it. “I have seen and visited VS while he lived in a shanty and later in a mansion. VS should reveal the source of money which enables him to fight legal cases,” Vellappally said. BDJS candidate of Nattika segment and leader of one faction of Kerala Pulayar Maha Sabha (KPMS), T V Babu was also present at the meeting.
