CHENNAI: Aiming to differ from other politicians, Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) founder Kamal Haasan said he would prefer to paint a positive picture and garner votes for his party candidates rather than speak negatively about others.

The veteran actor who sarcastically took a dig at the Dravidian majors who are indulging in a slugfest during the election campaign, said he would deliver good governance and corruption-free administration.

"The MNM can usher in new change in Tamil Nadu," he said and urged the people to be part of the transformation for the better. While campaigning for his party's candidate for Villupuram (R) Abin Poyyamozhi, at Tindivinam, near here on Sunday, he said his party honestly endeavours to change the regressing culture in the State. "Vote a good party to change the political culture of the State," he appealed to the people. Contending that his MNM was against the distribution of cash for votes, he cautioned that "other parties may take advantage of your poverty and buy your votes, to be in office for five years."
