MK Stalin is blind to development: CM Edappadi K Palaniswami

The visibly piqued CM said he was prepared to prove Stalin wrong on the corruption issue.

CHENNAI: Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami has accused DMK chief M. K. Stalin of ‘failing’ to take note of the turnaround brought by the AIADMK government in ensuring development in the State but merely harps on corruption, which is not there.

“The state has made rapid progress on the development front and the effective functioning of the Ministers has helped the government to receive awards in agriculture, health, transport and other departments. But Stalin merely harps on corruption, which is not at all there in Tamil Nadu,” Mr Palaniswami said while campaigning for his party's candidate for Mayiladuthurai Lok Sabha constituency S. Aasimani at Kumbakonam on Sunday.

The visibly piqued CM said he was prepared to prove Stalin wrong on the corruption issue.

He had no locus standi to talk about corruption as the DMK government was dismissed on corruption charges in the past.

The CM also claimed that Stalin was uttering whatever came to his mind due to fear of defeat at the hustings.

“He is afraid of the victory prospects of the AIADMK combine which will win all the 40 seats in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry,” Mr Palaniswami said.
