N Chandrababu Naidu likely to meet all Opposition leaders
New Delhi/ Hyderabad: After the bitter fall out with the BJP, TD chief and Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu is expected to reach out to the Congress. He is likely to meet Congress leader in the Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge during his two-day visit to New Delhi early next week.
“The Congress has supported the TD’s no-trust vote against the BJP government. Hence he will meet Mr Kharge,” said a senior TDP leader.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi has supported the demand for Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh. The people of AP blame the Congress for the ‘unscientific’ division of the state and the resultant economic problems it is struggling with.
Mr Naidu has been in touch with other regional leaders, including Trina-mool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee. It is expected that apart from the Congress, Mr Naidu will meet a wide range of political leadership from parties such as the TMC, the NCP, the RJD and the DMK.
