Don't listen to lies, Chamundeshwari my seat: Siddaramaiah
Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was in battle mode on Saturday as he countered the barbs and many slights that the opposition BJP was throwing at him as he hit his campaign stride, setting a blistering pace as he traversed the well-worn paths in Chamundeshwari, the constituency he has announced he will contest from, much to the surprise of the party who had expected him to settle on his old constituency, Varuna.
“This is my election. I am contesting here to do something for the people. I seek the blessings of Goddess Chamundeshwari to serve you,” the chief minister said as he took selfies with villagers who came out to see him. Scotching reports that Varuna was still a choice, saying “Vested interests are spreading rumours that I am contesting from another constituency...but don’t believe them.”
