Telangana Congress strategises against TRS

N. Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that under K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s rule, a lot of injustice was caused to farmers.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress on Friday decided to take legal recourse against the voting of TRS ex-officio members in the recently concluded elections to councils of municipalities and municipal corporations.

Senior party leaders, including Mr K. Jana Reddy, Mr Mohamed Ali Shabbir, Mr Marri Shashidhar Reddy, Mr M. Kodanda Reddy, Mr G. Chinna Reddy, Mr T. Jeevan Reddy and others met in the residence of TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and decided to take legal advice on the alleged irregularities committed by the TRS in the elections to urban local bodies and then approach the court.

After the meeting, Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy told the media that they had discussed the strategy to be adopted during elections to the agriculture primary cooperative societies.

He alleged that under Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s rule, a lot of injustice was caused to farmers. Mr Rao had not released Rythu Bandhu assistance to farmers nor was there relief under Rythu Bhima.

He said that the Congress has decided to expose the failures of the ruling party in the PACSs elections.
