Kurnool: Former Union Minister Kotla Surya Prakash got down to eliciting views of his loyalists and micro level managers over his proposed shift in allegiance towards TD and the likely fallout of it. He was believed to have told them the background that made him to leave the Congress party. He apparently told them that even Rahul Gandhi could not stop him from moving.
Speculation on Mr Kotla has been doing the rounds ever since he met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu though he had claimed the meeting was to discuss various projects.
Mr Kotla was of the opinion that the Congress party in AP would survive as a party only with an alliance with TD. But this proposal was spiked by APCC chief Raghuveera Reddy and AICC incharge Ooman Chandy. Mr Kotla was reportedly sulking that he was not being given any intimation on party activities in Kurnool after the entry of Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy a few months back.
Mr Suryaprakash Reddy accused the Congress leaders of humiliating him again and again and forcing him to quit the party.
In an interaction with the media, he said that he had never harboured thoughts of leaving the party any time but Congress leaders including PCC chief Raghuveera Reddy assumed and declared that he was exiting the party.
